Dual monitors problems please help!! (nothing about the start butt

Hello, I recently bought a nice 19" widescreen monitor and I want it to use
it with my Acer 5002WLMi but i have two prolems:

1- Windows doesnt give me the resolution that i need and that is 1440x900
even when my card support that resolution. I went to the SiS page and they
say that I might need a VBIOS update... but I had no luck trying to find it.

2- When i try to extend my desktop (to that monitor or another one) my
laptop screen goes crazy... even if the correct resolution is selected
(1280x800), sometimes the best result is when i have one of the monitors
working properly with the correct resolution

Do you know how to fix this? please help me!

Download the exhibitor pro from microsoft media downloads,its for 2 or more
monitors.

I installed it but hmm it seems that is not what Im looking for.. or at least
i cannot find the place to work with the resolutions and that stuff and I do
not want my second monitor just to watch movies, I want it to extend my
desktop, do you know why I cannot use it like that? (and as i told you
before, not the 19" one or other monitors works properly), any other
recomendation?
