dual-layer dvd burner

how does one burn a dual layered dvd in a dual layered dvd burner
unit.??

do I burn one side then flip over and burn the other side or do I need
special software for this deed?

thanks.

If your dvd burner is dual layer, then you only need software that can
recognize the format of the blank media. One layer is semi-transparent so
that the laser can "see" through it. -Dave

You might be confusing dual-layer with double-sided. Any DVD burnder
can burn a double-sided disc. It's the same as burning 2 different
discs, you just flip it over. Dual-layer has all 9 GB on one side.

That's amusing. Good point. Good exercise in problem comprehension,
in my opinion.

which you didn't answer the OPs question.

1) have software such as nero, dvd fab, dvd oneclick, etc. that recognizes
the dual layer capabilities of the drive
2) insert DUAL LAYER media and burn away

Good luck and ignore the netKKOp john doe

I thought o-chan's reply answered the original poster's question. I
was complementing o-chan's ability to help resolve the problem.
