The probability of a CPU failure is very low. Compared to more vulnerable
items EG HDD, PSU etc. it just does not rate. If you are concerned and have
a large budget then look at clustered systems.
I would expect a BSOD and it is one of the few things I would shy away from
testing. I would prefer to drive a brand new mercedes into a brick wall. But
then I would enjoy driving a brand new mercedes into a brick wall
