Hi All,

Does anyone know how XP-Pro will react when it sees a
"dual core" processor? Will it treat it like a
Hyperthread and only count it as one, or will it
count it as two?

Many thanks,

Doal cores are not generally available yey, outside of the labs. They
should be treated as two physical processors and Inet may add
Hyper-Threading to these.

Hi Yves,

I was thinking in the future.

So if I were to stick two of these things into a box and
if Intel supported Hyperthread on each one of those, I'd be
looking at EIGHT virtual processors.

And, I'd have to use Windows 2000/3 server or Linux
to take advantage of them. Hmmm. A lot to think about.

Thank you for the response. :-)
