Dual Core Processors

I have an AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 4400+, and Windows Vista Home Basic.

Am I actually getting Dual Processor Support? And if so, are my
applications utilizing both cores? If not, how do I enable dual core, or
multiprocessing support?

Right Click on the bar at the bottom of the screen and select Task Manager
then select Performance you should see both processor cores. If you
applications are not dual or multi processor applications then only the OS
will use both processor cores.

in addition I would like to say that even if your apps may not support
multiple cores,
there are programs that you can send app A to one core and app B to the
second core, thus both apps will be working faster...

this whole thing of course is manual or semi-automatic..

What programs?
