dual boot installation

I am running windows xp pro on the desktop and i want to
make it dual boot with windows 2000 advanced server.
because xp being a newer version it wont let me run setup
from the cd the only way i can run setup for windows 2000
server is that i boot from the cd however i am afraid if
i do so i will be making changes to the MBR cause of
which my xp may become unusable can anyone recommend me
anything on this

You can boot from the CD or install in XP by running winnt32.exe from the
I386 folder on the 2000 CD.

After install you'll need to replace the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM files on C:
with the ones on the XP CD in the I386 folder
