Drop down menus cut short in explorer

Hi All,
When viewing drop down menus on websites in explorer the menus only drop
down about an inch with a slider bar on the right to allow access to the
rest of the options.
On other peoples XP machines the drop down menus drop all the way to the
full length. Is there some way can make mine do this.
I have tried resetting the explorer defaults is there something in XP I need
to alter?

doesn't make any sense , if you are able to view the
whole screen by using the slide bar then what is your
question ??? Also when you say explorer which are you
talking about ??? There internet explorer and windows
explorer ???
 
This is in internet explorer.
The main window is OK but if I access a drop down menu on a website it only
drops down about an inch with a slider bar in the menu. If I view the same
website using any other XP PC then the drop down menu drops all the way
however long it may be.
I know it seems weird but its true!! Its just happens on my PC (XP Home SP1)

I am only able to view the contents of the drop down menu using the slide
bar
 
I have the same problem. What is causing this? Any ideas. Is there
a registry setting for it?
