Drop down menu

I'm got drop down menu everytime I click on anything. I have XP Pro with
everything.
I can not figure out how to get rid of them. Instead of double clicking on
and icon I get a
drop down menu. Please help.

Drop down from the menu bar at the top or pop-up menus in screen center ?
The latter may be caused by a reversal of mouse button functions. Can be
changed in Control Panel>Mouse. Is "Switch primary and secondary buttons"
checked ? Uncheck and see. Sorry if my assuming takes up unneeded time and
a second post but this happened to me once.
