Drop down lists and you

Is there a drop down list style that will let you leave a blank line i
the drop down list that you can type into?

ie. I have a drop down list of hotels and I link them to other pages i
the workbook, but if I have a hotel that is not on the list, I cant typ
into the cell and have it link to other pages. But the listed hotel
link just fine.

I have tried using standard forms, active x forms, and list validatio
as well, but nothing works. Is it even possible
 
If you're using dropdown lists created using data
validation just disable the error alert message.
