drop down list - save the entry

I need to report the values selected on the drop-down list. Is there a way
to store my values somewhere? How do I do this?

Is this a data validation dropdown list?
Is there only one, and you want to store the data every time a selection
is made from that dropdown?

Where is the dropdown, and where do you want to store the data?
