drop down form for my query

I created a drop down form for my query. I followed the instructions from
Access Tip "Customizing Access Parameter Queries". When I have the form
dialog box up it works great. I can choose a branch and rep and it creates
my query great. My problem is if I'm running my query I get a popup box
Enter perameter value. Can you tell me why my drop down box doesn't show.
I put in my query on the criteria line the following
[Forms]![ss_unfilledbill]![Combo18]. What am I doing wrong that my drop down
box is not opening when I run my query.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

do not close the form when you open the query -- if the query gets its
criteria from a form, it needs to be open
