What is the best way to install a new driver in an already
installed game pad?

When I plug in the gamepad, the plug and play grabs it,
installs its favorite driver and won't let me install my
driver.

If the drivers are packed in an exe, just run the exe before you plug in the game pad, or after it doesnt really matter.
If they are unpacked, like .inf files and such, go to Device Manager and find it in the list, right click it and select updatedriver, then install from a specificlocation then point to where the .inf file is located.

hope that helps
