Drivers SONY DCR-TRV14E

I have a SONY DCR-TRV14E and when i plug the camera into a Visat system, it
is not recognized and can't find the drivers to make it running under Windows
Vista.

Can anyone tell me how can i make it running or where to find the drivers?

recently i talk with Sony and they offered me that the only way to connect
this camera and the PC must be thru "i.link", not the USB but don't know how
to do it yet and not sure if i have that type of connection on my laptop

thk for the help, i guessed so, but my main problem id that the new laptop i
bought has no firewire connexion (or i think so), is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo
PI 2530 and have 4 USB but no firewire, so i didn't know how to solve the
problem

You never said what computer you have so I am flying blind here. If your
laptop has an ExpressCard/34 slot you can find a firewire adaptor for it.

Hi there,

I have one of these cameras too and saw this thread when i couldnt connect
my camera to vista so i brought the i.link cable but on connecting to my pc
nothing seems to happen still.

Any one else managed to sort this out at all. Gratefull for any help.

I have the same problem with a Sony Cyber shot. T100. And according to
what I've read, a lot of others are have the same problem. I spent 48
minutes on the phone with Sony and they claim that the camera is Vista ready
and that they don't offer the driver for it. Was told to try HP, the maker
of my desktop. Another hour and nothing was fixed. Have read that using a
fire wire won't help either. The only solution is to remove the SD card and
plug it into a card reader.
Really stupid of Microsoft to change their universal driver in Vista when it
worked perfectly before.
