Hello, I've got an old computer with a Cyrix 6x86 mx MII, 250mhz processor,
VIA 82c597 rev 4 chipset and soundpro sound on board the mainboard,.
I have installed windows XP, with the well known result of software
trouble.
Is there somebody who knows where I can download the right, XP compatible
sounddrivers ?
The CPU is fitted in a socket 7, which other cpu's can be fitted in this
socket ?
And last but not least where can I find free downloads for upgrading my
BIOS, the bios I'am currently using is an Award Modular Bios v4.51PG build
1998. The id string of my bios is 09/14/1998-577+ITE8661-2A5LEHOAC-OO with
co-processor (?) ITE 8661/SiS 6801
Henk.

Don't you think XP running extreme slow in your machine.
You should use Win 98 instead.
