DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message

I am getting a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen
on my windows XP laptop. It mentions a SYMFW.SYS driver.
I think that is related to my norton firewall software.
Care you all give me any hints or tips about this
problem. Should I just remove the software?

Yes, you can try that, you may also need one of their registry removal
tools. Once you get past all the blue-screen stops and operating system
reinstalls their products seem to cause/ require it works good.
