Driver update

I am using a HP Pavillion dv6000 with Windows Vista home premium.
I am trying to install the driver Mobile Intel 945gm Express Chipset Family Driver.
After three times I am at a loss as to what to do next. I keep getting the message that it didn't install and I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

The last time I looked, the DV6000 series of HP laptops come with either an
nVidia display chipset or an Intel GMA950 display chipset.

Sharyn,

Are you sure you need to install these or other drivers? Are you trying to
fix a problem? Is your graphics display not working properly? In Device
Manager, unfold the entry for Display Adapters and then right click the
graphics adapter and select Properties. Do you see the words "This device is
working properly," or some other message?
