Drive Image File Restoration and Activation

I Updated XP Pro from W2K Pro several weeks ago and Activated the XP
Pro Application several days afterwards.

However , before Activation , I created a Drive Image File of the C:\
drive and now , due to problems , I have re-installed this Image File.
As a result , the PC is telling me that I will need to re-activate XP
as it now thinks this has not yet been done .

Before I attempt to do this , can anyone tell me whether this will be
a problem or not ? I hope not , as I frequently tweak things on my PC
and relied heavily in the past , (with W2K) , on Drive Image to return
me to the previous state if anything goes " belly up " as a result of
my changes.

Hi,

Won't be a problem, but to avoid the hassle, you might want to make an image
of an activated system for the next time.

Thanks. Good idea .

I actually thought of that just after my post !! - I should think
before engaging brain - with all the free friendly advice around on
the N.G's I get very lazy <g>
