Drive Image 2002 / Seagate 160 GB Compatibility Problem

My mainboard is an Asus P4S533 with the latest 1010 bios. The OS is Win XP
Pro.

Drive image worked fine with my WD 100 with 38GB allocated to c:.

I installed the Seagate with the same 38GB space on c: and made the
remainder an extended partition.

Now, when I run Drive Image, I get exit code 17 and am directed to run the
program from dos. I used the rescue diskettes and booted fine from the
first but got another error from the second one. This can be caused by a
bios overlay to accommodate drives larger than 137GB.

I ran Seagate's disk wizard with the intention of removing the overlay it it
was installed. The removal button was greyed out and should be active if
the overlay is installed.

Apparently the overlay is neither installed nor needed.

Drive Image refers to "running from dos". With the WD it dropped into dos
at times and at other times made images from within windows. I think the
problem is that there are no DOS drivers in the OS for the Seagate.

I could not find dos drivers at the Seagate site. Does anyone know where to
get them?

Does anyone know if there is way to force Drive Image to run in DOS other
than with a floppy?

Thank you for any helpful information.

The Drive Image 2002 CD itself is bootable, so disks are, in your case,
superfluous.
Boot from the CD:
1. Change to the Y: drive
Y:

2. Enter:
CD \English\Execute
PQDI

Please, press the [Enter] key after each line

This enables you to fire up Drive Image 2002 straight away from the CD...
