Drive Compression

Does anyone know what the compression ratio is on a drive
on Windows 2000.

No, no-one knows. It's not very high, but probably higher than the
compression in my Grandpa's lawn mower.

Hi, Mehdi.

I don't know the details, but my understanding is that, like with any kind
of compression algorithm, the compression depends mostly on the type of data
in the file being compressed, rather than on the operating system or even
the file system. Some graphics files, for example, can be greatly reduced,
while many binary files can be compressed very little.
