Dreaded "Red X" but nothing happens

I have been receiving the Red X for a couple weeks now. About every 30
seconds, it pops up and says I am infected. I have run the Microsoft
Defender scan, Norton Anti-Virus Scan, and Ad-Aware scanns, and nothing comes
up as spy-ware or a virus. Being in the software industry myself, I amaware
of all the hazards and have multiple layers of protection on the PC but I
can't seem to get rid of this stupid warning. This seems to be a common
occurance on the other posts (red-x but nothing happens). Can anyone shed
some light on this and/or tell me how to get rid of it other than
uninstalling this "beta" software?

Ok, so I run the HijackThis utility and nothing out of the ordinary shows up.
Still nothing on the PC that I can find. looks like I just uninstall this
piece of MS garbage. Most frustrating thing is it says "click here" and
nothing happens... Will rely on the Semantic, etc...

To which "piece of garbage" do you refer? The spyware that has already
compromised your system? GOOD LUCK!!!. You are blaming the wrong app. for
your ills.

Did you post your Hijack This! log to a knowledgeable newsgroup? Or did you
submit it to the 2-spyware.com online analyzer? What ezxactly were the
results that gave you the impression that nothing was out of the ordinary?
Do you evan have a clue as to what you are looking for?

Run *ALL* of the threat scans at the site below and get back to me.

You might want to spend some "quality time" reading the above referenced
page. It contains the answer to your problems, you just have to be willing
to identify it.
