Draw a window

Is there a way how to draw a window under .net? By that I mean simply drawing
a control on a dc without the control beeing "alive"

Use SendMessage with WM_PRINT. If that's what your looking for.

Thanks, I will try that. Though I must say that sedning WM_ seems to me a
little bit strange in .net.
I would like to create a simple form designer similar to the on in VS, do
you think that the same method is used?

Oh I see what you need it for. Search google for "runtime designing in C#" I
think www.codeproject.com c# forums / articles might have some useful stuff
also.
