Drag handles are too small?

Christmas greetings to all!
When I try to re-size any panels, it is very difficult to find the exact
spot with the cursor so I can drag it. There does not appear to be enough
latitude to do it. The position required is too critical (i.e., too small).
I wondered also if this could be a possible defect in my Lenovo mouse
instead? Thanks for any suggestions.

You're not imagining it. That was a frequent complaint us beta testers
had during Vista's beta testing. The divider lines are only a few pixels
wide. Microsoft insisted it was necessary for style reasons.
