drag down/auto fill

I have a cell that references another workbook--when I drag down to auto
fill it references the same cell on the reference sheet, instead of the
ones below it. What am i doing wrong?

Before you drag down, delete the dollar sign in front of the row number in
the formula.

If you let excel build that formula for you, notice that the reference to that
"sending" cell is absolute--$b$17 (with the $ signs).

When you copy (or drag) this reference won't change.

So change the formula by removing those $ signs--use B17 instead.
