Dr. Watson puzzle...?

Howdy,

On my laptop, I occasionally get a DrWatson error that tells
me that a certain part of memory could not be read.

That alone would not be puzzling, but...

I do not have DrWatson.EXE on the system.

It was there originally, but I have renamed it, (and every
other occurrence of the EXE and related folders etc.)

Where might these errors be coming from? (and how can I
interpret their meaning?)

Thanks,

Do you have a %windir%\system32\drwtsn32.exe, however?

Hi Ray,

I am not familiar with the "%windir%" designation.

Does that just mean the folder above System32?

Thanks,

%windir% is commonly C:\Winnt, but since one can choose to install Windows
in C:\Linux if he so desires, "environment variables" handle knowing what
the installation directory is for Windows, as well as some other useful
information. (Start---run---"cmd"---Enter---SET)
