DR-DOS - wdf?

lol there is no floppy - or a-drive for that matter, but thanks for your help

Well, what threw me was the a:\ prompt. Usually only a floppy drive will
give you that. Since you're floppyless, something is obviously emulating
the "A:" drive. Are you seeing that DR-DOS prompt before Windows loads,
or is it just a separate box on your Windows desktop?

Some of us "old timers" would say DR-DOS is Digital Research Disk Operating System.
Besides MS-DOS there was PC-DOS (IBM) and DR-DOS (Digital Research/Novell).
DR-DOS is now a free and open sourced Disk Operating System.
Umm, I don't think free, but still pretty inexpensive.
