Hi all, I am looking for a freeware replacement for Dr. DivX for a friend.
Anyone have any suggestions? This is not my area of specialty, so I'm not
sure what to look for!

Thanks

Fran's recommendation of AutoGK looks great. Another alternative is
XMPEG: http://www.xmpeg.net/xmpeg.asp Here's an XMPEG tutorial:

Both AutoGK and XMPEG require the use of this additional piece of freeware
to rip the DVD: http://www.dvddecrypter.com/download.asp

Regards,
Ian.

Not all, only upgrades. 1.0 is stable. In my experience, betas work pretty
well, try using the latest beta.
