Downloads won't install

I have a W2K Pro workstation that won't take any updates.
They say they download and install but when the next batch
of updates come around, the old ones are included.

What can I do to make them install.

Which downloads fail to install? Do you see any error messages? Check the
Windows Update.log file in the root of the windows directory for any
errors. This might point you in the right direction.
