bruce webster

why do i have difficulty downloading power point
originated material? regards.

Do you mean download over the Internet, from where are you downloading the
files? Your question as worded could have a lot of meanings. Could you be
more specific?

Am I correct that WindowsXP Home Edition hasn't Power Point ? If Bruce has
XP Home Ed. he may have to download a Power Point viewer
Dave

You are correct and it applies to all Windows Operating Systems, none of the
MS Office suite components nor Office itself is no or has ever been a part
of the OS.

That said, while you are certainly correct insofar as being able to open a
PowerPoint file and is certainly useful if that is what he asked, I'm still
not sure what he's asking.

If he needs the viewer it can be "Downloaded" from this site:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/000/viewers.asp

Nor am I Michael, just a hunch based on my shallow learning curve. If I
guessed correctly, your response is far superior to mine.
Dave

I was hoping to draw him out a bit to see if maybe he'd clarify but he can
thank you for having pointed me in one possible direction.:-)
