I have been asked to update a friend's website that was not produced in
FrontPage. Can I download it from their site (I have the user name &
password) into my FtPg and then continue revising it - then upload it back to
the site in a FtPg format (the web host accepts FtPg extensions)?

This is fairly easy if you have FP2003. Just choose Open Site from the File
menu, then specify the FTP address as in ftp://ftp.example.com/public_html.
FrontPage will prompt for a location to put a local copy of the site. Take
minutes, days, or week to make your changes, then publish them back to the
live server via Remote Site view.
