Downloading Movie Maker 2.1 with Windows XP2 already loaded

PapaJohn,

You spark something in my brain. I looked under Start --> All Programs -->
Accessories --> Entertainment and found it.

A number of users WITH SP2 have posted requests on how to get (download)
Movie Maker 2.1. You have consistently responded that MM2.1 is part of SP2
and not available separately.

Your response is misleading average users into thinking that if they already
have SP2, then they can't get MM2.1. You should instead be telling these
users that if they have SP2 or a relatively new PC with XP installed, then
MM2.1 is probably already installed. The Microsoft help website also fails
to indicate this to users.

These users should first try going to Start --> Programs --> Accessories -->
Entertainment. If Movie Maker isn't visible in that folder, users should
then try going to Start --> Run and typing in "moviemk.exe" without the
quotes. If they still can't find the program, THEN PapaJohn's advice would
be very helpful.

Actually I am surprised he didn't say that as he, and I, and most of us do
say that regularly.
Although in this case the poster was asking if he was correct in assuming
that you can't get WMM 2.1 without SP2 in which case Papajohn's answer was
technically correct.
Your right though jsfour, it should be stated that if you have SP2 then,
unless there was a problem with the install, you should also have WMM 2.1
