Downloading graphics

I recently upgraded my Operating system to XP and also got the latest IE. I right click on a graphic and when I try to "save picture as....." I can't save it as anything other than bmp. What's up with that? Is this something in XP or IE configuration?

That happens when the Temporary Internet Files are too full. In IE click
Tools | Internet Options. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet
files section of the General tab. On the next window place a check mark in
the box to Delete all offline content.
