downloading files

I accidentally un-checked the "Always ask before opening
this type of file" for PDF files. How do I turn that
back on?
 
Go the PDF file association and turn it back on. Go to Control Panel >
Folder Options > File Types. Scroll down to PDF and click on Advanced
button. Check "Confirm open after download"
