Download warning message

Can the download warning dialog box be disabled for a particular file type?
I'm referring to the "Some files can harm your computer....." message. We are
opening ".pff" files(forms) from an ".asp" script and are constantly getting
the box. Any way to force it to just open? Registry key maybe? Check box
"Always ask before opening this type of file" is greyed out...
