Your computer is either 1) not completely clean; and/or 2) whatever
viruses you have/had damaged Windows files. To clean the computer, scan
with a current, installed antivirus using updated definitions. If you
are 100% sure the computer is clean, replace damaged Windows files by
putting your Windows XP cd in the drive and going to Start>Run and
typing "sfc /scannow" without the quotes.

The System File Checker (sfc.exe) replaces the damaged files. Follow the
wizard. Yes, you should reboot.

After sfc scan, there's no wizard or any sort to follow. There's no instruction to follow also. And there's no ibtruction to reboot. Last of all, it does not solve the problem( windows explorer shutting down)

Sorry to hear that. I spent 2 hours battling trojans on a client's
machine yesterday. Sometimes trojan/malware removal is a complicated
business. Unfortunately, without having your machine here where I can
see it, I can't really tell you what needs to be done. You probably
should take the machine to a professional (not a BestBuy or CompUSA
type of store). As an alternate, a great source of information about
malware removal is the forums on www.spywareinfo.com. Check them out
for more help.

Good luck,

Malke
