Can anyone help, I need to import weekly data into excel from an outside source. The number of rows being exported may differ each week as it only transfers rows with data for that week. Is there any way I can get excel to recognise the different product codes and input them into the correct cells.

Each week I export the weekly sales figures into excel. The information exported would only be the products sold in that week . In order to compare one weeks sales with another I need to do a lot of moving and copying of data as the number of rows exported each week would be different depending on the products sold. Is there a way t o set up a spreadsheet so that excel could read the product code (which is unique to each product ) and put it in the same row each week thus making a comparision between different weeks easy to carry out
