Download error,

Hello,

I have a pc running winXP with SP2 and all the latest updates running.
I'm having problems downloading. I'm always getting errors. Downloads
are always corrupted, large or small data, i'm getting crc errors,
incomplete downloads, ... What could be the problem, and how can I
correct it. I've done a clean install, ... nothing works. Memory is ok,
hdd are ok, ... I'm a bit hopeless right now. Can anybody help ?

It depends, are you using a modem, google: hayes modem commands
for your modem. use HyperTerm to enter the commands to the modem.

Router SMC Barricade 7004VBR (new) other one was D-Link, same problem

Bad NIC perhaps, or maybe misconfigured, half duplex vs full duplex?
