download duplicate messages

When I download my messages I get duplicates sometime 4 to 5 copies of the
email
 
The Outlook version is 2003. I am using Norton also. I do not under the
question type of acct.

POP/IMAP/HTTP/Exchange are the types of accounts. I suspect the first.

Norton is notorious for interfering with Outlook. Uninstall it and
reinstall it without the mail scanning option. Also make sure you are
authenticating to the outgoing servers of all the accounts you have defined
in your mail profile.
