HELP! I lost my disk to MS office 2003 student edition, how can I download
the assignments for chapters 8 & 9? I search the web for info @
phx.maricopa.edu, unfortunetly Phoenix College does not have a site to tap
into assignments. Please help me. I don't have time to go get a new disk
right now. Please e-mail me @ (e-mail address removed). Thank you

It's not at all clear what you mean by "assignments for chapter 8 & 9". That
sounds like something specific to a class that you're taking, and not
actually part of Office 2003.

If you know anyone from your class, you should contact one of them to see if
they can email what you're missing.

Well Herb, I'm taking Computer Usage and Applications @ Phx. College, and I
bought the book which came with a disk that we use, on that disk includes
Lessons. Currently I am working on Lesson 8, but I cannot find my disk to
insert into my computer in order to complete the assignments in Chapters 8 &
9. So my question is, "How do I locate the Lessons that are on the MS Office
2003 Specialist Student Edition?" HELP ME PLEASE

Ah, how it's clear. From what I can tell, that's a book by McGraw-Hill (not
from Microsoft), and retails for about $75, and comes with the CD in
question. The book is described here:

http://books.mcgraw-hill.com/getbook.php?isbn=0072254475&template=#toc

....and I don't see any place on their web site to download any part of the
companion CD.

Again, I think your best bet is to see if a classmate can email you those
chapters you need (unless you're rich, in which case you might just buy
another copy of the book). Of course, I suspect that all the material on the
CD is copyrighted, so the legality of the email approach is dubious.

It's also possible that McGraw-Hill would replace the lost CD, but I suspect
that that would take a lot longer than you have.

Another possibility would be to see if your college's library has a copy, or
if the local public library has a copy. I've often seen companion CDs intact
with books at our local public library.

Or, expand your search for the missing disk.
