Hi I try to fuond via serch engine some info about my problem but I never
understand if it possible or not and if work fine.

I have a new computer with a fresh new copy of xp.
I want to have one copy of xp installed on a sata and use it just for
gaming, but i would like also to copy with ghost the entire hd and install on
another identical sata HD; this second install for general working days.
Today i have try to do that but stuck on a problem.
I have a copy of ghost and I have create an image of my 1 Sata HD and
restore the image on the second sata.
I have reanmed the first sata "first" and the other "second" I have try to
boot from the second but I always have the C: as first and second sata as D:
but in disk menagment I see that the active system reside on the D drive, but
once I use hirarcy to save file and stuff I see C: I think this is not
correct should be D: insted.
Sorry for this long post nad hope to be on correct on doing that and also
for my bad english.

On the non technical side, for two installations of XP you need two
licenses.

I said from a non technical stand point. Yes the license is per
installation, not per use.

U need 3rd party boot app like PQboot in PMagic7 or u can do it
manually in PMagic7 . U need different boot.ini for each also.

To avoid installing common apps twice, install them on 1 xp then image
it then create from it a 2nd p;artition from it. So u'll clone XP &
all common apps(like Tweak, OE, ..)

I've had 2 XP's for 4 years- very useful for solving very tough
problems, backup, experiments, & testing apps

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

Ok I know on how to change my boot.ini but what is needed to be change.
Why you talk about partiton I use 2 HD but as i told before I get stuck on a
strange problem, normally if you boot from one hd it become C: but in my case
this dosen't behave in this way.
Maybe I just can use only one hd at time but this is not very usefull for
copy porpouse.
If you menage to do it could you tell me what you change in your boot.ini
and what process you use.
Thank you
