double posting of holidays in Outlook 2000 calendar

Somehow I have managed to get the US holidays to post twice in the
Outlook 2000 calendar and can't figure out how to stop it. If I go to
Options | calendar | holidays and uncheck the US holidays box, it grays out
the ok option and leaves only cancel. Thanks in advance for any solutions.
 
You'll need to remove the duplicate holidays manually. Switch to the By
Category view of your Calendar folder, look for the Holiday category, and
select and delete the duplicates there.
