DOT formatting is changing in documents (MSWord 2002/MSWord 2003)

Issue:

After MSWord 2003 user changes a template and a MSWord 2002 user goes into
file, formatting is changing (ie everything is bold and font size changes.
The MSWord 2003 user can view document correctly but it is different within
MSWord 2002. We have Microsoft Word 2002 \ Microsoft Word 2003 mixed within
the company.

The templates were created in MSWord 2002. Now when a User on 2003 works
with a document the 2002 users are experiencing these formatting changes.

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED......
