DOS Windows - End Now

X

x

Anyone know of a key to set to eliminate the window that pops up when
you close (by clicking the X) a DOS program window that says:
Windows cannot end this program. It may need more time....
If you choose to end the program immediately... To end the program now,
click End Now.

With 2 buttons "End Now" and "Cancel".

Thanks

I'm trying to close it without typing anything.

Then use the mouse to navigate to the process in Task Manager and
Kill it. The message indicates that the DOS program has not closed
yet. The best would be to properly close the DOS program first by
whatever "normal" means are available.

If you are using a batch file to run a program and it is not exiting
place "exit" on the last line of the file, the window will then close.
If you can use CMD.exe as the command line interface then you can click
on the "x" to close. Hope this helps resolve the confusion.

Sorry for the confusion, but I run some DOS programs (by double clicking
on them). Clicking on the "X" to close the window gives the warning
described.

I was hoping there was a registry key to disable the warning and just
close the window (and app).
