Is it possible to configure Dos window in Windows 2000 Professional as in
windows 98 with edit options and other shortcuts on top of screen.

No but you can achieve most of the editting tasks by clicking the icon
in the top left corner and using Edit.

Also if you go into Properties you'll find you can tick QuickEdit and
Insert Modes
