DOS MODE Printing with Lx-800 on WIN-XP

Hello,
I am using LX-800 Dot Matrix printer for slip printing via VB
application on windows 98 or windows XP platform. I need faster
printing speed. cause my applicatin is a real time application. so no
one can wait more than 60 seconds for their ticket. wia dos mode
printing this can be possible but the problem arries while i have to
print the ticket in local lanquage rather than English. i use font
Named "Nilkanth, HARIKRISHNA, GHANSHYAM etc.". can any one sugeest me
how to print sppedy with this type of fonts? note that i am printing on
continues roll paper. i have to print maximum of 6 lines per ticket.
i.e ticket size will be 3.5 inch x 4 3 inch.

Your printing is old fashioned and to speed it up would be to switch
to inkject or laser. You cannot speedup a dot-matrix especially with
the fonts you are using. If your printer is set to spool try in the printer
properties to print the documents directly to the printer or visa-versa.

IF speed is a consideration, you might want to consider using Linux instead
of windows.

How do you send data to the printer from within VB?
