Hi Folks,

I can't find a Vista group on my server, so this was my next best
choice. Does anybody know if Vista will run old DOS programs, the way
XP does? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know how Forte Free Agent handles newsgroups but you
might want to look for a setting that will reset the list of
newsgroups that are available. Once the list is reset search
for Vista. There are over a dozen Vista newsgroups.

If that doesn't work, click on this link and see if it sets up
an account for Microsoft's news server.

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

As a last resort, you can always post to the web groups.

Good luck

Go to the server msnews.microsoft.com, and you will find many Vista
newsgroups, beginning with the name microsoft.public.windows.vista...

Some old DOS programs will run in Windows Vista, others won't The same is
true of Windows XP, but the lists of what runs and what won't run will be
different.
