don't want to use ALT-combinations

hi,

I'm having a problem when I type. I just re"installed
Win2k and now I can't "e for ë / 'e for é / "u for ü / 'c
for ç / "i for ï (see re"installed) etc.etc. I want to know
where you can set the properties to repair this function,
so I don't have to use the ALT-combinations anymore.
