Don't add another signature when opening a saved draft in Outlook

When I open a saved message in my drafts folder, my reply & forward signature
is added at the top. It's quite obvious that a new message or a replied
message that is saved is already going to contain the signature. There
should be a prompt to add a signature to drafts or an option in the
signatures for adding this.

Outlook version? Word as your email editor?

I am having the same problem on a client machine ...

Outlook 2003 SP2 with all patches
Word as email editor.

When saving to drafts and re-opening, it adds an additional signature.

Can you provide exact steps to reproduce the problem? I can't duplicate it here.

I have a user experiencing the exact same situation.

Outlook 2003 SP2, fully updated, using Word as email editor. Exchange 2003
enviroment on a laptop using an OST.

We've tried "Detect and repair", recreating the mail profile, deleteing and
recreating the Normal.dot. Nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

I am also having the same problem... when I save an email to the draft folder
after typing in a reply to a received email, but not sending it, when
reopened from the draft folder, my email now has duplicate signatures...
obviously this is a problem given others have the same problem. What is the
fix?

Did anyone ever get a resolution for this? I've got the same problem Outlook
2003 SP3 to Exchange 2003.

Thanks

Sue, a client of mine has this same problem. Outlook 2003sp3, Exchange
2005. It's intermittent in that Outlook only adds an extra signature to some
drafts when they are re-opened, but not all drafts. It's just a nuisance
since the extra signature (added to the top of the email instead of the
bottom) is easily deleted. But, is there a solution to this?
