Hi all

I have recently started getting the dreaded "Done, but with Errors on Page" error in the Status bar of IE, especially when I log into my INBOX at hotmail.com. This error means that I can't open any of my messages or reply to any... it's driving me mad.... When I double click on the error, the following message pops up..

Line: 20
Char:
Error: 'MenuObj' is undefine
Code:
URL: etc etc...

I am using IE explorer 6 SP1 on a Windows 2000 machine. Also I have just installed and am now using Java Runtime Environment 1.42. I strongly suspect that this has something to do with the scripting errors I'm getting..

Does anyone know if JRE 1.42 is compatible with IE 6 and if this is causing my problem. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this scripting error will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance
Andrew.

Andrew,
Try disabling any pop-up stopper / security software. It might be causing
this.

MS VM (Virtual Machine) may work better with Win2K than JRE Try checking VM
and unchecking Java in Internet Options> Advanced.

Check your VM version: answers_9_Java:

Hi Don

Thanks for the suggestions.... I have just downloaded an older version of the JRE actually version 1.4 and have set up IE to use it instead of 1.42. This seems to have solved my problem for now, but no doubt I will have to try out some of your suggestions in the future..

Thanks again for the help
Andrew.
