Domains and unrestricted access

I've got a new notebook from my job with Win 2000 Pro. I have a simple user login and i want to have all privileges.
I know the admnistrator password. So, i thought it won't be a problem...
But the problem is, that on this machine are two domains...
Mine is in domain 1, and administrator in domain 2. So, when i log in like administrator, in control>panel>users and passwords i can't find my account. Just administrator and Guest...
Where can i find my account and to give myself unrestricted access?

On NT 4.0 domain you use the user manger program and on a 2000 domain you would use active directory users and groups snap in. You must have these programs installed on your computer to use them and you must be a domain admin. If you are not a domain admin just forget about what you are trying to do.

The reason you will do not see your domain user on your computers user and groups is because that is only for local users to your computer and not the domain. Domain users are held in the domain controllers database.

The administistors account you talk about is not on a domain account but the local administrator account on that computer only.

If the laptop is owned by your company talk to their IT dept. However they
will have many good reasons for denying you administrative access.

If it is allowed in your companies IT policies - you may add the domain
account you logon to the company domain with into the local admins group on
the specific PC. This will give you local admin rights on your PC when
logged into the Domain. If you have the local admin username and password
then it should be possible to do this.
