Domain user password change and AD locks the user

Hi there,
I am facing a problem with local password cache for a domain user on
the windows xp workstation. If I change the domain user's password, it
take few minutes to propagate it to the domain computers. during this
change, if i do a "send-receive" on my outlook then it fails to do so.
This might be because of the user's locally cached password supplied
to outlook is older and the Exchange server (talking to Active
Directory) get the changed (new) password.
Is there any way to force to clear the local password cache or to
refresh the local password cache on the windows xp workstation? Any
utility or APIs to do so?

Thanks in advance.

After you've changed your password in a given XP session, try logging out and
back in. This should cause a password cache refresh on your local machine. It
might take a few minutes for passwords to propogate.
Additionally/alternatively, in outlook, goto File->exit and restart Outlook
so it will sync up with your local pwd cache.
